The Tigray People’s Liberation Front (TPLF), which split from the interim administration, has alleged that its members are being dismissed, suspended, and arrested by the administration led by Getachew Reda due to their political stance.
In a briefing on Monday, Amanuel Assefa, the newly appointed deputy chairperson of the TPLF from the contentious 14th TPLF congress, stated that high-ranking TPLF officials across Tigray are being ousted, stripped of their positions and salaries, and detained by the region’s interim administration. He cited Aksum, Samre, and the Zata and Selwa districts of Tigray’s southern zone as examples where officials have been removed from office. Amanuel has condemned these actions as unlawful.
The TPLF faction declared that it is actively addressing these issues. “We possess both the power and the duty to confront these illegal activities within our party and across all councils. The councils, wielding their constitutional authority, are fully empowered to rectify these matters and enforce accountability,” Amanuel said.
General Tadesse Worede, the deputy president of the Tigray interim administration, addressed concerns about the rift within the party during a press briefing today. He acknowledged mounting public frustration over the ongoing infighting and stressed that it needs to stop.
Tadesse, who also serves as head of the cabinet secretariat for peace and security, warned that demonstrations, whether in support of or opposition to different factions, are fueling anxiety and fear among the public, and stressed that this must come to an end. “There are efforts underway to bridge the divide, aiming for unity if possible; if that proves unfeasible, then respecting differences and sticking to the rule of law should be prioritized,” he said.
Peace, peace , peace, in the name of Ethiopia.
Ceating and demarcation of territories of regional states is not the highest stages of democracy or Human right.
We have a big contry Ethiopia .its, territories are more than enough for 120million people
Why incur all these unplanned expenses when I have the ultimate solution for you?
1) Hand over the entire eastern territory of the old country from Dewele to Awash River and from Moyale to Awasa to Somalia.
2) Issue a monetary reparation worth 250 billion in US dollars to Eritrea for the war waged by Ethiopia at Keren in 1941. In addition, Ethiopia should hand over all coffee, oil seeds, hide exports and operations of Ethiopian Airlines to Eritrea for the next 10 years. Also move all factories from Ethiopia to Eritrea and Somalia by January 2025.
3) All Amharas and Oromos must be expelled from Ethiopia by no later than 2025. Amharas can move to original home in Hadramaut and Oromos to Mombasa.
That is it. See how simple it is? You guys are just being so silly.
Just another charade.
